The following is the production procedure:

1. Checking the technical documents by the research and technical staff and choosing the appropriate engineering materials for the production based on the customer’s specification.
2. Scheduling the progress of the project
3. Technology design using software such as AutoCAD, Procast, Catia, Sut Cast, and Mechanical Desktop.
4. Pattern-making and molding (if needed)
5. Preparation of the production package (which includes the production instructions, part numbering, technical drawings and running system, as well as instructions for carrying out the required tests for the part’s final approval)

Departments of the Ravanshir Steel Company

1- Commercial:

Sales engineering, contracts, and after-sales services are subsets of this unit, which is a customer-related department whose top priority is providing the best possible customer service. The organizational mission of this department is to respond, take quick action and be at the customer’s site throughout all working stages.

2- Design and Engineering:

The Design and Engineering department creates documents and technical drawings following the commercial department’s completion of contracts with customers. Technical drawings of the patterns are created using AutoCAD and Catia software.

After that, the casting simulation software (Procast and SUTcast) is used to finalize drawings, and they are sent to the production department. It is important to note that Ravanshir Steel Company’s pattern-making workshop uses the most cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, such as three-axis CNC machines, 3D printers, and others, to create all kinds of patterns based on drawings from the Design and Engineering unit.

3- Production:

Molding and assembly

In this section, sand molding is done with high-quality patterns and skilled workers. Molds are meticulously assembled, cleaned, and prepared for melting in this unit.

Alloying and smelting

In this section, using induction furnaces with a capacity of up to 10 tons and a bottom pour ladle, pouring is performed with the highest quality and accuracy.

Grinding and cleaning

The products are then subjected to grinding and cleaning (sandblasting and shot blasting if needed) in this unit.

Heat treatment

In the heat treatment section, which is the most crucial part of a casting unit, Ravanshir Steel Company has the latest facilities for heat treatment furnaces. These furnaces have a controlled atmosphere, as well as automatic temperature control systems and quench systems in water and air, which lead to controlling and obtaining desired metallurgical structures.

4- Quality Control (QC):

Ravanshir Steel company has knowledgeable employees as customer representatives who control every aspect of the production process by using well-equipped laboratories as well as conducting various hardness and non-destructive tests. The control procedure is performed in a variety of production stations, including molding, assembly, melting, grinding, and heat treatment, in accordance with the instructions that are contained in the product quality plan created by the technical committee of the company. In the molding section, by controlling the mixture of glue and sand, random sampling of the prepared sand mixture is done and it is tested for compressive and shear strength in the wet state. During the casting process, the most crucial control section is the smelting section, where chemical composition analysis as well as monitoring pouring temperature and duration, are performed. Also, in this department, with the quantometer device as the beating heart of the casting unit, the monitoring and alloying are done by trained personnel. Given the conditions outlined in the product quality plan, the proper execution of heat treatment cycles on various parts is monitored in the heat treatment section. Also, due to the importance of the temperature factor in heat treatment furnaces, thermocouples used in heat treatment furnaces are controlled in accordance with the company’s current instructions. The results are given to the heat treatment staff for use, and if a temperature difference is observed, the thermocouple is removed from the usage cycle.

The final product is also controlled at the end of the production process. The most important tasks here are dimensional control based on the product technical drawings, non-destructive tests, and hardness test. If approved, the part goes into storage as a high-quality product.

5- Research and Development:

This department, with the help of the of sales and technical engineering employees, has carried out its research projects according to up-to-date science for continuous improvement of our products and meeting the needs and goals of our customers. As a result, product efficiency has increased by up to 30 percent, particularly in the milling and slurry pump parts.
